Just read "The Show That Never Ends". Greg singing 'Cadence and Cascade' brings it all back for me.
In his book he said 'In The Court of The Crimson King' was the greatest album in his career.

Concerning XTC: their album "Oranges and Lemons" is an unique masterpiece...!! Weird and daring songs, clever arrangements, top production of Paul Fox, and the usual super drumming of Pat Mastelotto. Ckeck https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nnq8mK_gwqk

Concerning my old Geneva mate Patrick Moraz I'm wondering why I never hear his band "Refugee", with the two "Nice" guys Lee Jackson (Bass) and Brian Davison (drums, R.I.P.), on this radio station. It's a firework of progrock, keyboard enchantment, fantastic songs & arrangements: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ToN1R4jZZ14

GREAT to hear Refugee, thanks...! Check the songs "Grand Canyon" and "Credo" on this album - they're epic, they're great, they're long, they're full of unbelievable keyboard sounds and changes, they're a MUST for every prog fan...!!!

Isao Tomita (R.I.P.) was probably the biggest synthesizer god, who influenced many musicians, arrangers & sound engineers. His masterpiece is the album "The Planets", where he covers one of the most progressive classical work, composed by Gustav Holst. Enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eLOpBujXM0

Any chance you could play some Magma? I'm in the mood for some Zeuhl. Something off MDK or Udu Wudu would be nice.

Jethro Tull's Ian Anderson joins me this week for a special edition of Shadow & Light. We discuss Tull's 50th anniversary tour, the band's ongoing remastering campaign, the challenges of fitting 22 minutes of music on one side of vinyl, and much more. Tuesday, Feb. 13 at 3PM and Sunday, Feb. 18 at 4PM.
